The Purpose

"I was chosen to study and live in UWCM and it was a dream that became a reality. Not many Western Sahara refugees get the privilege to receive such a good education. At first, I was afraid I would not be able to bear the responsibility of being the chosen from the camp in Tindouf to represent the Sahrawis. Nevertheless, I would never give up on an opportunity to raise awareness about our community’s struggles. In my first year at UWCM – I started Under the Sun with a few friends. This project was born out of my need to tackle the injustice in which the Sahrawis and provide them with an opportunity to live a secure life."
